Futuro Simple

Construction of a new 2.5 billion bridge linking new residential and commercial development projects in Dubai was started in March 2008 and they think they will complete it between 2012 and 2013. The new bridge will connect Al Jaddaf, Dubai Healthcare city, Culture village, and Business Bay on the Bur Dubai side - to The Lagoons and Dubai festival City on the deira side - and it won’t provide access to the Creek Island upon which Sama Dubai will build Zaha hadids Dubai Opera. The bridge will be 1.6 km long, 64 m wide and 15 m above water level and a rail track for the Green Line of the Dubai Metro - but it won’t be able to take more than 20,000 vehicles per hour. The main centre arch of the bridge will be 667 m long and 205 m high and the world’s longest arch-bridge designed and inspired by the shape of a sand dune.
